Men's Cozy Cowl Hoodie

Finally a pattern for my man, made in French Terry with Cotton Jersey lining on hood and kangaroo pocket.

This is a really comfortable sweater in Medium and I did make one that was a size larger that now belongs to me.  Sizes XXS - 4XL cover teens to large men's so there is one for everyone.

Rebecca Page is the designer for this pattern and they have ladies and children covered with this pattern.  Yes you can all wear and enjoy this great sweater.

January is off to a fast start!

I have been streamlining my patterns testing choices.

That is not to say that I am always chosen to test but hey I only started this journey in December and have done 5 patterns (2 not yet released) so I think I am doing okay.

I have decided that pattern testing encourages/ stimulates me to sew for myself, I can count made for me items on one hand

This year the balance has shifted no more tween daughter 85% & 2 boys 15%, this year we are equal 20% sewing allocation for each of us in our family of 5.

Yes that means that hubby is also in my spotlight! So if you like funny faces he is ready to model 🕺

Stay tuned .....

Eximia from Sofilantjes

So this was my first pattern testing for myself, I am a large number of kg's heavier than before my kids and do not often stand in front of the camera. Made in French Terry I needed a FBA ( my first time trying one) and I lengthened the sleeves a little.

I'm not keen on round necklines, preferring V necks, but one challenging thing about pattern testing is not to deviate from the pattern.  You can lengthen the body and sleeves but need to make the pattern as per the designer's vision.

I will try this pattern again maybe in a knit.

Pattern is available in English, Dutch and French

Patsy Party Dress - Rebecca Page

My second pattern testing and made XS high-low dress for my daughter.  Princess seams, SBA andand li bodice with an invisible zipper all new experiences for me. I am really pleased with how this turned out, I did view you-tube and other sites for the SBA and invisible zip tutorials, well maybe more than once!

Vermont Cardigan from New Horizons Designs

I sewed this final cardigan of the test pattern on 13 November 2018. This is girls size 14 but I probably could have done the xxs ladies for her.
